Fun Summer

Well, today is that last day of summer (according to me). I think when September hits, it just starts to feel like fall in my mind. Here's some fun shots of our fun summer!

"The Cousins"

The other night I took Charli out for dinner just the two of us. While we were eating, I asked her what her favorite thing to play was.

It didn't take her long to say, "Basketball".

She is my active little girl and absolutely loves to go to "the cousins" (reyes') to play, which is where she learned basketball.

Sweet Photo

Uncle Dan is the photographer of the family. He takes the most amazing pictures and especially good ones of children. Recently, he entered a photo of Monkey Sue in a contest on the web. Her photo won "photo of the day" in January. Isn't she beautiful?

Fun With Meemaw

Here's some fun pictures of Monkey Sue when she got to stay with her Meemaw for a few days while Jimmy and I were at the Worship Conference.

Can you believe that these cars are still in existence?

The Big One!

Charli turned one in February and is changing too fast! She has the sweetest little personality and loves her big brother Jack. She loves to call him and it sounds like she's mimicking me because she'll put a little inflection in the middle of his name. So it sounds like, "Ja-ack!" And she follows him everywhere. It is so much fun watching them interact and play so cute together.

For her first birthday, we had her grandparents, cousins and aunts and uncles over for pizza, salad, and chicken wings. And her Auntie (aunt Laurie) made a beautiful "Monkey Sue" cake that looked like the little Hello Kitty monkey. She's extremely gifted, especially when it comes to making cakes. :)

So, hopefully as she gets older, she'll be good entertainment for us all in the things she says and does. So far, she is the sweetest little girl I've ever known and I don't think I can squeeze her enough. I thank God for her and her brother every day and I am always amazed at how God gives us more than we could ever ask or imagine.
